celebrating personal style & life in new york city

city living {diy necklace board}

what you need:

frame | cork panels | cardboard | fabric (this is a cotton napkin) | knobs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

how to:

step 1: cut cardboard to the size of the frame & cover with cork panels (the panels come with sticky squares for an easy application)

step 2: iron out any wrinkles in the fabric & cover the cardboard/cork board with the fabric (you can use the same sticky squares used on the cork board to secure the fabric)

step 3: measure where you want to place your knobs and make a light mark with a pencil

step 4: drill a pointed screw through the fabric and board to create a small hole. remove screw and turn the knob into the hole.

step 5: insert board into the frame

step 6: hang necklaces for display

I love the bathroom in our new apartment, but we don’t have counter space for my decorative cross {where I previously displayed my necklaces| seen here}. When I saw this jewelry display solution on pinterest, I knew it was just what I needed!

    This is so incredibly cute! I especially love the frame that you chose. I recently found a few old frames that I wasn’t quite sure what to do with them, but now I have a great use for them! Thanks so much for sharing
