celebrating personal style & life in new york city

walking shoes

I wore this outfit on Saturday to my haircut appointment with Tim.  I have always heard that you should go to the salon with your make-up done and an outfit you like so you can tell before you walk out the door what you think about the cut.  I kept it casual by layering my new favorite color (this bright yellow) over a blue oxford. citc (5)
If you live in New York City, you understand the importance of always having two pairs of shoes on your person.  One for walking and one for your destination.  I added (yet another) color to my feet with these purple pumps.

I am so please with my hair cut!  (Thank you, Tim!)  I have been thinking about cutting it for so long and I finally decided I couldn’t wait any longer.  I took Tim this picture of OP as my inspiration.  He could tell I was a little hesitant on the length so he left a few inches and said I could always come back and cut it shorter.  Now that is a good hair dresser.

And now for my walking shoes, these are the most comfortable flats and they come in so many colors!  I love the orange because they are easy to wear as a neutral.  Each pair has this fun turquoises trim.

There are so many things I love about this look! All of the colors work so good together. The blue button-down under the sweater is something I need to try immediately. Love the hair cut too!

I love everything about this outfit! I feel like everytime I layer a sweater over another shirt it is not flattering–but it looks great on you! I will keep trying!

Are you still using the 3/4 or 19 mm curling wand with this cut??
