celebrating personal style & life in new york city

about me

Caroline got her start in the fashion industry in 2005 interning with New York fashion designer Julie Haus.  By the end of the summer, she was hooked.

After graduating with a degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University, she was accepted into Neiman Marcus’ Executive Development Program where she spent four years learning from the best in the industry.  In the summer of 2010, she and her husband, FMK, decided to follow their dreams to New York City.  Caroline now works as a merchant for the leading luxury flash sales site in the US, as well as, keeping us in the fashion know here at CITC.

Her personal style mirrors her professional background as she flawlessly mixes investment staples with trendy pieces purchased at bargain prices to make an entire ensemble look like it came off the runway.  Each outfit she post is a head to toe look that she believes anyone can pull off and feel confident wearing.

Email Caroline with any questions or feedback, she loves hearing from you!

Caroline, I’m a good friend of Linda’s and she sent me your blog site. It has been fun reading your info. I have another friend (here in TN where I now live) whose daughter is in NYC and she was doing a blog about clothes, too. Somehow ya’ll should meet each other. You’d probably enjoy knowing each other since you have similar interests. Cheryl

    Hi Caroline,

I’m a huge fan of your blog and your style. I was wondering if you would be able to tell me how I could apply for the Neiman Marcus’ Executive Development Program.

    Thank You

      Hi Ana,

You apply online through their website and have to pass their online math test before you can interview.

      Good luck!

I love your blog! I happened to stumble across it and it’s great to see another southern girl making it in NYC. Your route from Neiman to working at Gilt is like my dream route. That’s exactly my dream after college to be in NYC, I’m a southern girl from South Carolina studying at USC. I’d love advice :)
